Developing Your Intuitive Dream Interpretation
Because of the personal nature of dreams and their relation to what's going on in the dreamer's life currently, the dreamer is in the best position to interpret his or her own dreams fully and accurately. However, detailed dream interpretation requires a level of intuitive skill that most people have not developed. To supplement your own intuition, you can consult with an intuitive expert who can interpret your dreams for you and/or guide you through the interpretation process.
To assist you in developing your dream intuition, here are some guidelines and tips:
The more you pay attention to your dreams, the better your dream intuition will become. Think about your dreams, talk about them with others, explore their possible meaning and see which one resonates best with you.
Interpret your dreams immediately after you wake up, before you get out of bed. You are usually more attuned to your inner state at that time.
Keep an open mind when considering your dreams. Approach your interpretation with the belief that you already know on some level what a dream means, and set out to discover that hidden meaning.
Remember that dreams are almost never about what they appear to be on the surface. A person in a dream often represents another person. The subconscious mind tends toward symbols and imagery, so some degree of interpretation is require to uncover the true meaning.
Developing your general intuition can help you interpret your dreams more quickly and accurately. Meditation and intuition exercises are helpful for developing your intuitive skills. There are many books on this topic. The following book is a great place to start:
